What we heard: In November 2009 Brad Pitt's production companies Reliance Big Entertainment and Plan B Entertainment bought the rights to the forthcoming Dark Void film, but that may not be the only movie project tied to the storied actor.

Sources told the Hollywood news outlet Showbizspy that Brad Pitt is the "hot favorite" to star in an upcoming film based on the events of Rockstar Games' critically lauded and comercially successful Western, Red Dead Redemption. The sources say the Fight Club and Meet Joe Black star will play the game's troubled protagonist, John Marston.

Mafia 2 tomorrow

Mafia II is out tomorrow, currently trying to come up with some money to pay off my pre-order.

Check out the Game Reviews to see what it's like. I, for one, have not. I want to be surprised. I just wanted to post this just because it's my personal favorite period of time/era and type of game, an open-world one.

Update after the jump.

26 years, really?

It's hard to believe that I've been on this earth for 26 years. You know, it's really seems more like 40. So what am I going to do for my big ol' birthday, you ask? Nothing. And that's how I like it.

Other than that, the NHL '11 demo dropped today, according to their Facebook page. I'm currently downloading it while I get ready to watch The Expendables. I also plan on catching up on my shows before I get some rest.

So I'm 26. The only thing I look forward to today is what's above and what's going to be in muh belly later on, really. You know that you're getting older when the only thing you look forward to on your birthday is food. But I dig it.

Oh yeah, there's The Colony tonight, too. :)

It's a beautiful thing

The 2010 NFL Hall of Fame game is tonight.

Football is officially back, baby! Finally.

The 2010 game, as always, is played in Canton, Ohio. Tonight's game includes the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati  Bengals. With the enshrinement  of Dallas' own Emmitt Smith last night it's safe to say that the Cowboys' fans are going to be more than ready. I know that I am ready for football on "prime time," fo sho.

I only spent part of last night watching former San Francisco 49er receiver Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith's induction. It's weird because I grew up idolizing these guys, and it seems like it's been forever since I've watched them play on Sunday (really more Monday night kinds of guys) ... but I have to say that last night was also pretty special. Emmitt gave one hell of a speach, while Jerry seemed like he was a little nervous speaking in front of thousands if not millions of people. Truly special.

Rubicon

After watching the previews for the past few weeks I finally got the chance to sit down and watch the pilot episode and enjoyed it very much. It's an espionage-esque, thriller-esque, serial cracking bunch-o-goodness.

"The series centers around an intelligence analyst at a national think tank who discovers that he may be working with members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale."

The show stars The Pacific's Jason Badge Dale, a really good up-and-coming actor that I really have grown to like very much. I also think that you guys need to check this show out ... if you're into this sort of stuff, that is.

22 days and counting...

Yup. 22 days until Mafia II comes out. I'm loving it.
